4 Mini Wins of Parenthood

With parenthood comes highs and lows, that's all part of the package. But even when your day doesn't go to plan with a 4am start, explosive nappies, toddler tantrums in Tesco and your home being redecorated with baby food, there are (nearly) always things to celebrate.

These are a few mini wins you may experience as a mum or dad. It's all about being positive.

Your keys are nowhere to be seen. They aren't in your bag among the wet wipes and overflowing Tupperware pots of snacks, they aren't hanging in the hallway above your child's latest wallpaper doodles and they aren't in the door where you vaguely remember leaving them. A feeling of panic overcomes you and after ensuring they haven't been posted out through the letterbox you head to the bathroom to peer around the door. Surprisingly they aren't in the toilet or floating in a bubble filled sink with Barbies so you don't need to go fishing! You eventually discover them deep in the depths of the toy box, after activating every musical item possible in the process, which makes you incredibly late to leave but you are filled with joy that they aren't dripping wet in pee and poop and in need of some anti-bac spray. You can moonwalk your way to the car while fist pumping.

Mini Makes #5 - Decorated Eggs for Easter

The main Easter celebrations may be done and dusted for another year but that doesn't mean the fun activities can't continue! Decorating eggs is quite a traditional idea to enjoy for this occasion and the Mini Mes have put a modern twist on this by making theirs based upon some of their favourite movies - Despicable Me and Home!

Equestrian Fun with Star Stable (PLUS Your Chance To Win)

Star Stable is a 3D virtual game which combines both equestrian role play and fantasy fun that the children (or kids at heart) can enjoy. It's ideal for those that love horses or animals in general and being a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) they can chat safely online with friends to build their social skills without even leaving the house.

Apart from many educational benefits which include teaching your children about caring for animals, they can select and name horses for their personal stable before training them, competing in races and solving mysteries along the way. There really is so much to do and Minxy in particular has really liked this game so far. It's also far cheaper than riding lessons or purchasing her a new pet which many mums and dads will appreciate!

The Children's Book Tour Continues (PLUS Your Chance To Win)

I always encourage reading, whether it's a fun bedtime story, the latest book from the school library or a magazine as it really is so beneficial to the Mini Mes. Minxy is really enjoying the David Walliams collection at the moment whereas Jamster is captivated by the adventures in the Beast Quest series. There are so many great authors to explore and with great deals available on websites like The Book People and Red House it's definitely worth building up your own bookcase for at home.

A Magical Find #SatCap

This is the selfie that I sent to the Mr just seconds after discovering the bag of chocolate that he had hidden from me. Finding any tasty treat unexpectedly would be amazing but these are actually one of my favourites too.

I didn't even know he had purchased these the sneaky fella but I was so glad he did.

Get in my belly!

Have you got a caption for this photo?
I'd love to hear it!
