Family Friendly Dining at Harvester

We eat out quite frequently as a family and I'm always on the look out for exciting new menus with lots of variety and healthy options for the children - I like to ensure they consume their five a day, or at least get somewhere near it, even when away from home.

We have dined at Harvester restaurants a number of times over the years and we were pleased to be invited along to put the new kid's meals to the test. If it meant a night away from the oven and dishwasher then that's excuse enough for me but I was also eager to see the new look of the Grange Park branch after a refurbishment.

We were welcomed and seated by Claire who was really friendly and pleasant to chat with. She talked us through the menus, took our order and directed us to the drink dispenser where we could help ourselves to unlimited soft drinks and to the salad bar which again is unlimited.

I've always loved displaying my favourite moments captured on canvas around my home as a constant reminder of the fun times we share as a family. I think it gives guests a little look into our lives too and allows them to see some of the adventures we have enjoyed over the years together.

I actually have a wall in the lounge which is purely dedicated to bespoke artwork and when This is Nessie got in touch to add to my collection I was pleased to accept their offer.

Launched in 2002 they began their business by providing stationery, but after some success, they now create illustrations, commissioned pieces and prints, including the lovely classic wellies version we received. As a family that loves the great outdoors and spending afternoons walking the poochie in the woods getting muddy, this really captured my attention, especially as I could really personalise it in so many ways and with such ease.

It would also make an unusual yet sentimental gift for someone special and there is a Mother's Day version available.

HP Envy 5540 Printer and Instant Ink Review

As a parent that works from home you can often find me running between the laptop and printer - my different roles mean I'm usually helping with homework, sorting documents to send to clients, searching for family recipes or just discovering fun activities to complete on rainy days. Purchasing new cartridges always seems to cost a small fortune, especially as they seem to need replacing quite regularly, so I was therefore really keen to put the new HP ENVY 5540 to the test and discover just how much money we could save with their Instant Ink replacement service.

The printer itself is very easy to set up, to the extent that you probably won't really even require the manual supplied as it is that straight forward. It's literally just a case of removing all of the packaging, plugging it in, adding the ink cartridges into the internal slots and connecting it up to your network. My laptop doesn't have a disc drive so I downloaded the software to install it from the HP website, did the test prints and I was soon ready to go.
