WIN a Wing Pendant Necklace from Jana Reinhardt

Wings carry a number of associations, so whether you're seeking jewellery to depict heaven, freedom, travel, dreams, or even wisdom, this pendant necklace from Jana Reinhardt is the perfect piece to add to your collection.

The Jana Reinhardt designs are inspired by the natural world and the naive art movement. They don't use machine manufacture, preferring the old techniques of wax carving and fabrication to create their products - making Jana Reinhardt a more sustainable choice for jewellery lovers.

A Gift From Debenhams

The beginning of the year didn't go well for me with a blue lighted ambulance visit to A&E due to heart and chest problems followed by several weeks with a zimmer-frame combined with handfuls of medication. It was lovely to know that Emily from Family Four Fun had been thinking of me during this difficult time and nominated me in the Debenhams' Random Acts of Kindness Campaign.
The campaign is like a daisy chain of friends where each can select another person to send a piece of jewellery to from the collection at Debenhams to make them feel special - such a nice idea!

Emily said ‘Emma has had a rough time with her health since the start of the year and needs brightening up. Having similar aged children I love reading about her family’s outings and crafts - she has supported me on my blogging journey and I hope this cheers her up whilst she gets her sexy back!’...

...And I received a beautiful bracelet in the post from Debenhams to cheer me up!

A Treat from Tresor Paris

The new Bellatrix collection from Tresor Paris is a combination of classic sophistication and modern allure and features stunning items that are ideal for Mother's Day.

The Altesse Rose Sterling Silver Ladies’ Crystal Bracelet is my personal favourite. A pretty pink crystal sits in the centre of an oval surorunded by beautiful diamond-like crystals that catch the light perfectly. It's dainty and delicate and has quickly become a firm favourite in my jewellery box - there aren't many days when you won't see it glimmering on my wrist alongside my Tresor Paris

Mother's Day Jewellery from Cavendish French *Win*

Being a mum is a full time job and when it comes to Mother's Day it's lovely to be treated to something special that shows real appreciation. Whether that's in the form of a hand made card from the kids, a pretty bouquet of flowers complete with chocolates or just a night away from the kitchen and cooking - it makes us feel loved by our little ones.

However, if you are after a gift with a touch of elegance this March, a wonderful keepsake, look no further than Cavendish French. They have a stunning silver jewellery collection with something to suit everyone - from the timeless and classic to bold contemporary statement pieces, and everything in between.

Interplay myStyle Craft - Shamballa Fire Jewellery

Interplay myStyle Craft kits are aimed at children aged 8+ and they are ideal for those who have an interest in creativity and fashion - just like Minxy.

We received the Shamballa Fire Jewellery set to review and it was really enjoyable designing and making bracelets, earrings and necklaces.

The set includes everything required to make 5 pieces of jewellery. The beads supplied come in a variety of colours and Minxy really loved how some were glittery and her favourite shades of pink.

  • 2 Silver shamballa beads
  • 6 Shamballa beads
  • 20 Imitation glass pearls
  • Plastic coated jewellery wire
  • 8m of black cord
  • Jump rings
  • Clasp
  • Clamshell clasps
  • Ear hooks
  • Safety pin
  • Colour instruction booklet

The instructions supplied are well detailed with lots of imagery to guide you through the entire process. Minxy found the macramé knotting a bit difficult at first but soon got the hang of it with a little support.

She was really eager to make gifts for her friends and family and a few pieces for herself. The plastic container was great for storage of the items she had made and for those she was still creating.

All of the kits content was really good quality and the beads were heavy rather than hollow. I was impressed with the set and as the items take some time to make it will keep tweens to teens well entertained.

The Shamballa Fire Jewellery Set costs £12.99 which is good value, especially considering how much this style of jewellery currently retails at.

Cutey Review

It's not very often that I receive beautiful products for myself so I was thrilled to be sent Shamballa and Charm bracelets from Cutey to review.

The gold and white Shamballa bracelet features 9 clay contrary beads, each with 84 crystals encrusted onto it. Inspired by the mythical kingdom called Sambhala in Buddhism, seen as a place of happiness and peace, it certainly put a smile on face when it arrived in the post. The bracelet sparkles really nicely when the sun catches it and despite a low price tag of £18.99 it looks like a classy piece of jewellery.

It is very sturdy and the wrist strap is adjustable which is great for women, big or small. There are a variety of colours available to suit every taste and season. I think this gold and silver ones captures the current colours perfectly with the gold representing the warmth of the sun and the white the ice of winter. It arrived in clear packaging with a Cutey tag attached and it would make an ideal gift for someone special or as a treat to yourself.

Pink is my favourite colour so this bracelet not only matches the majority of my outfits but it's very pretty and feminine too -  to the extent Minxy has tried to claim it as her own! The bracelet is 18cm in length and has a secure snap clasp with the brand name on. There is a wider part on the bracelet to prevent the charms falling off  which is a great idea. This one titled Hypnos is £12.99 and again is a great value, everyday accessory featuring a variety of charms.

Cutey, founded in 2011, provides a lovely collection of quality jewellery. They have a no quibble returns policy for your peace of mind and they even accept Paypal and offer free delivery!
