Homework and Haribo

At every opportunity possible the Mini Mes like to ensure their teachers know EXACTLY what sort of a mummy I am. They don't tend to mention all of the days out we enjoy as a family and all of the fun that we have with baking and crafts. Instead, they like to highlight the embarrassing moments and point out all of my faults. *Cringe*

Jamster has already made sure his teacher knows that I dance in my underwear and run around in my onesie and with this weeks homework he decided to share my love of sweets...

It's true, no treats are safe when I'm about!

Homework... with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Jamster has become slightly obsessed with those 4 heroes in a half shell and from the moment he rises to the second he conks out in bed he is talking turtles.

He came home from school on Friday with his usual reading, times tables and spellings to work through but also with his first homework sheet for the new school year.

We sat at the table, popped open his pencil case and starting working on the synonyms and noun replacement questions....


'The Cat watched the bird from behind the tree'
 became...
The dog watched the hamster from behind the cage


'The librarian put three books on the shelf'
became...
The man put three scooters on the path


and finally...

'The gardener picked up the plants from the garden'
became...
The turtles picked up the sword from the sewers.


I didn't expect him to involve his green friends with his school work but he managed it!

That embarrassing moment when....

... your son's homework includes details about how you dance in your underwear and run about in a onesie. Oh the shame! He hasn't missed off the Mr either, describing how he laughs when he farts.

His homework was to write his spellings, verbs, into sentences and that he has done. Perhaps his choice of sentences could have been better but I did find it amusing... I'm sure his teacher will too!
