How to get a job without relevant experience

It’s the chicken and egg scenario – you haven’t got the experience to snare the job you want from a site such as jobstoday.co.uk, but without snaring the job you won’t get the experience. For the young jobseeker it might seem like an intractable problem, but help is at hand: here are several ways to bridge the gap.

Get the qualifications
Face facts: you will not get a job as a lawyer, secretary, doctor, or many other jobs without the basic skills. Working to get the correct paperwork will show that you are taking things seriously. And don’t assume that you have to wait until the conclusion of your studies to apply for experience!

BritMums Live - A Newbie Experience

This time last year as the early bird tickets for the biggest blogging event of the year were put on sale, I plucked up the courage (from somewhere) and purchased one. It really wasn't something I would normally do but I clicked the confirm purchase button before I had time to change my mind! I felt this would not only be a great learning experience but a great way to meet new people, speak with brand representatives and to also build my confidence. I don't really 'do' trains or London but I was now.

BritMums Live 2014 has now been and gone in a whirlwind weekend of cake and wine. There were plenty of laughs and even a few tears (the blogger keynote speaks were so moving with their words) but most of all it was better than I anticipated, I met some fantastic people that I'd now class as friends and I really enjoyed a break from the norm. The Mr seemed to enjoy himself too in my absence - he proudly informed me on the phone he was able to leave the toilet seat up for the first time ever!

Family Fun - Turtle Feeding at Sea Life

With Jamster being a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan and Minxy loving all animals in general, we were thrilled to be offered the chance to feed the turtles at Sea Life in Great Yarmouth.  It's the moments like this that become treasured memories to look back on and I'll admit I was keen to get stuck in too with this exciting new experience too!

We were greeted at reception and led upstairs to the top of the walk through tank where the Mini Mes were provided with life jackets and instructed on what to do if they did fall in, however unlikely this was. Safety first! The marine biologist Darren was really friendly and made us all feel at ease above the shark infested waters. He also answered all of our questions about the turtles that we had in relation to their diet, lifestyle, habits etc which was a great way to learn about these amazing creatures.
We all learnt some interesting things about the turtles.

The water was tapped to create noise that would attract the turtles to the surface and it wasn't long before the Mini Mes (and I) were feeding them lettuce using the pick up tool.  I think they were in
