Reasons to be happy
My reasons to be happy
The Mini Mes have driven me insane today with constant bickering since 6.50am but regardless of that I still just about have reasons to smile with gritted teeth!
Jamster had a lovely birthday. We all enjoyed lunch out and the Croods and he received lots of lovely gifts. I am grateful for friends and family that sent him birthday wishes.
We had a really nice Easter weekend and the Mr even got me a huge Thorntons egg which was a delicious surprise.
We had a nice afternoon out yesterday at a small local farm feeding the goats and lambs in the sunshine. There are tea rooms there and a little farm shop with great quality produce too to explore. The newborns were seriously cute and I've not seen bottles empty that quickly in quite some time!
I've received prizes for two competition wins this week, I rarely even enter any, and what lovely prizes they were too. Thomas Sabo Sweet Diamond earrings, necklace and bracelet and then a Kenwood Chef Classic arrived this morning from Whitworths Sugar for my Easter recipe... in total worth around £700 which is amazing.

My reasons to be happy
I am very proud of Minxy who represented her school yesterday in cross country. She did so well bless her, especially as it was her first ever attempt at it and it was agianst around 200+ other children. I'm glad that she is starting to come out of her shell a little and get involved in new activities.

It was parent's evening at the end of last week and both of the Mini Mes are doing so well. Both above target and Minxy has a reading age of almost 11 (she is 8). Very happy with their progress.
I was contacted today by Thomas Sabo and told that I have won a prize this morning... diamonds! I seem to do quite well when it comes to winning jewellery and I'm very much looking forward to some new bling to wear*.
It is my anniversary today with the Mr (also National Steak and Blow Job day!). He has put up with me for 4 years and I am very happy to have him in my life. Love him millions.
*Note to the Mr, this does not mean you don't need to buy me a diamond ring!

Reasons to be happy
Despite a possible broken nose for the Mr and a stolen wallet life is reasonably good at the moment...
My reasons to be happy
It was Jamster's turn to win something this week and he had a delivery of a Skylander, Eruptor. He is quite obsessed with them so he was very happy - this makes the 16th in his collection!
Minxy has always been great at English and spelling and Jamster has suddenly become the same. He has recently come out with words that I didn't even realise he knew and he is trying really hard to improve his handwriting. I'm so proud of them both.
I had a 3lb weight loss this week which has motivated me even more so.
I feel a lot happier about myself this year already in comparison to last year and I want to keep it that way.

My reasons to be happy
The Mini Mes settled back into school perfectly after the Christmas break and have been doing really well so far keeping on top of homework and reading. Jamster received a lovely thank you card from his teacher for the Soap and Glory goodies we gave her for Christmas - It was nice to know that she appreciated her gift.
Minxy won a competition with her magazine and had two lovely books arrive in the post yesterday.
I have felt really motivated this week and I have been doing aerobics each day and I walked the dog several miles yesterday in the cold fog and mud. I will be slim again!
I am off to see Les Miserables tomorrow evening with my parents, I treated them, and I can't wait to see it. It looks superb! No doubt I will need Kleenex to hand.
We have some nice plans for the weekend and I am looking forward to some quality time with my family after the first week back at work and school.

Reasons to be happy
I'm really glad I took part in this weekly link up to concentrate on the good things in life and I continue to do so into a new year - 2013. It can often be hard to see the positive when there can be so much hurt, stress and loss but I find it really uplifting and it makes me appreciate the things that make me smile, however small, that little bit more.
My reasons to be happy
We welcomed in the new year surrounded by loved ones; parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and siblings which was really lovely. My Grandma came along too and I was surprised she managed to stay awake to hear the fireworks go off at midnight, as did the Mini Mes for the first time. They are usually tucked in and snoring away so it was nice that they were involved too enjoying everyone's company and the delicious buffet meal my mum had prepared. We were told it was fancy dress but it was only Jamster that wanted to wear costume!
Blogging has given me some really great opportunities over the past few months and for that I am grateful. We have enjoyed some lovely days out as a family and even a weekend to Blackpool in 5 star luxury reviewing 7 Merlin attractions. I already have some goodies on the agenda to review this year and I won a luxury spa trip during December for my Reindeer Pops.
Having things to look forward to always keeps me smiling and we are already thinking of holidays for this year. It looks like we will have some camping trips when the weather improves, some UK breaks and a trip abroad. I need sunshine!
