Bath Time with Koo-di

Koo-di have a variety of products that help to make parent's lives easier - something we all appreciate in a world of chaos with newborns and toddlers! As I was recently selected as an ambassador I now have the pleasure of receiving and reviewing some of their amazing practical solutions, the first of which help to create a stress-free bath time...

The Parening Kneeling Mat helps to prevent discomfort when sat beside the bath tub while playing with and washing your child each day. We all know that hard surfaces can be cold and painful to rest on but this well padded, non slip and mildew resistant mat makes bath time enjoyable - even if you get wet from your little one splashing about! It features a hanging loop for storage and ease of drying and as I already use suction hooks for our wash mitts and scrunchies I hang the mat on one too. Simple.

It's lightweight and I really like the bright spotty design to bring some colour into our bathroom.
I've also found this really useful while washing my own hair knelt beside the bath from time to time, it's a rather versatile product. 

With two little ones sometimes sharing a bath there isn't much room for swooshing about, although they try, so keeping hot taps covered helps to ensure the Mini Mes don't get a bump or burnt in the process. The Bath Tap Protector is an essential and great value item at only £9.99 and it's easy to install over single or mixer taps. It cleverly changes colour as heated water runs through it into the bath and the word 'hot' appears so you can safely tell if it's warm without touching. It's soft yet durable and it has already saved my toes on numerous occasions from touching the tap while relaxing! 

I really wish I had got one sooner - it's very helpful.

Koo-di's Fluffy Baby Blanket is ideal for keeping your child snug once in their pj's and preparing for bed. It's trimmed with the polka dot print as featured on other products from the range and is made from soft polyester which is gentle against delicate skin. The blanket can also be laid on the floor as a play mat and it's ideal to take while travelling for in the car or pram. 

It's quite large in size so will last for may years as your little one grows.

The 300g boxes contain the Step 1 Gelli Baff Formula and Step 2 Dissolver Sachet and the box has easy to follow instructions. The Mini Mes generally have showers but they were so keen to test this out when it arrived we used it the same day it was delivered!

You sprinkle in the Gelli Baff formula evenly to around 40 litres of warm bath water, leave it for a few minutes, stir and let the children get in for lots of bath time fun! You don't need to worry about it getting clogged in the plug as it turns back to water after their gooey good times. Once your little ones have finished playing you sprinkle over the dissolver powder while the kids are still in the tub and stir. It's a great product that you can use in paddling pools too!

Rub-a-dub-dub... what's in your tub?

Apart from being time to clean up and rinse off all the food, paint and mud from the day, bathtimes can be fun and educational too. As the kids have got older (boohoo) I've found that the variety of toys suitbale for them in the bath is minimal. This is rather disappointing as it means they usually want to drag in dolls and action figures with them which aren't always good for a water and bubbles combo!

So I ask you, what is in your tub? What fab splash-worthy toys do your little ones enjoy? What games do you play in the tub that you could recommend to others?


What's in our tub

Firstly no bath is complete without a collection of ducks, surely? We got the small yellow ones in a hook-a-duck stall at the fair and they are great fun in the bath as they are magnetic and the kids have little fishing rods to gather them all up with. The pink one is from soap and glory and is more for me and my love of all things fluff, sparkles and glitter and anything else classed as girly!

Jamster has had the Imaginext Submarine for a good few years. It has slowly worked it's way from his room into the bathroom along with the deep sea divers that came with it. It's durable and it doesn't contain batteries so it seems to be ideal for him.

This collection of animals we use in part of a memory game we play. Originally from various Animal Hospital playsets, we line the animals up on the side of the bath, the kids look away and I remove one animal. They then guess which one it is. Simple but they seem to like it!




This is the most recent purchase - The Hello Kitty Bath Slider Playset. Minxy has just turned 8 and was moaning for ages some time that she had no bath toys so I searched her favourite character and found this tower of fun. It seems good quality although we had a few issues attaching it to the side of the bath (doesn't fit all tubs).


We also have tile crayons and foam letters too which are great for pratising spellings and playing hangman too.
