The Whispering Winds: Learning to Listen in Outdoor Spaces

ad

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, the subtle yet profound melodies of nature often go unheard. 'The Whispering Winds: Learning to Listen in Outdoor Spaces' is an ode to the enchanting sounds that nature plays and a guide to truly tuning into this delightful symphony.

The Melody of the Morning

Dawn is nature's soft awakening, a time when the birds announce the start of a new day. The first light filters through the trees, casting a golden hue over everything. This is the moment to step outside and immerse in the morning's serenade. Let the chirping of the sparrows, the cooing of doves, and the gentle rustle of leaves become your morning music. Pay attention to how these sounds differ between weekdays and weekends, seasons, and weather conditions.

How Does Your Garden Grow?

To celebrate World Photography Day on Monday I decided to head out into the garden to attempt to capture some of the natural beauty (among the weeds) that lingers.

I don't have a digital camera. It was broken some time ago in a night out involving a few too many cocktails *cough* so this was taken on my iPhone...

My garden is filled with buddleia and butterflies at the moment and I was pleasantly surprised by not only the quality of my picture, especially as I'm quite a novice, but by the fact that the butterfly sat still long enough for me to take a photo of it.... even though the Mini Mes were screeching around on their scooters in the background.

Autumn - The Gallery

Bar last weeks post which was packed with leaves I haven't really taken any Autumn pictures this year. However, as the evenings have suddenly become very dark, very early I've found myself taking the poochie for his PM walk, as it's pitch black now before the Mr arrives home from work, and I've had some great opportunities.

On Monday after collecting the Mini Mes from school we popped on our wellies and headed out straight away for just over an hour. I managed to capture these three photos which are quite seasonal...

I love the warm colours Autumn brings, despite the colder weather!

See it Snap it Love it - Nature

I'm far from a good photographer but capturing moments on film (or memory card) is something that I enjoy. I wouldn't have those days when I scroll back through my phone/laptop/photo albums and smile to myself without it.

This picture was taken on one of our many evening dog walks as a family earlier this week. Despite the rain, cold and mud we all pop on our wellies and head out for a stroll.

Project 366, 143/366 - Odd one out

We had our usual evening stroll with Spartan today and I came across this one little red leaved tree amongst lots of green. It summed up very much how I feel at times - a little bit different is good though!
